54mm Napoleons troops in Egypt
Thought it about time for an update to this one as i have started work on the two Napoleonic troops now. I decided to go for a 7th(bis)Hussar trooper for one of the figures and a trooper from the Regiment Des Dromadaires for the other. Still lots of work to do on both but i am happy with the progress so far.

75mm Winter German recce
I managed to get this one finished now and set on a simple oak base.
The intention of this vignette was to depict a winter scene without the use of snow so i had to try to create a cold atmophere, i decided to go for a frosted look and used some glitter glue for this which adds a bit of shimmer to represent frost. I managed to find a suitable glitter glue after looking at quite afew options in my local craft store, most glues contained large glitter particles which were not suitable, eventually i found one that contained very fine silver glitter which suited the job.
All painting is done in acrylic except for some oil washes on the concrete surfaces.
Time to move on to the next project.

90mm Wehrmacht youth
Some major steps forward with the figure now and i can see the final version starting to show through now. i have started to sculpt the variuos equipment for the figure and also the Kar98 is nearly complete, this was needed before i do the final sculpt for the left arm as the rifle will affect this greatly. I have also resculpted the figures right hand as it was too large previously and it needed to look more relaxed for its pose. Just the left arm to go now and more detailing then it will be finished.

90mm Wehrmacht youth
I have started out on my next figure this time in 90mm-1/18 scale and using mainly Supersculpey for the main part of the figure over a magicsculpt manakin. I am aiming for a youthfull looking figure around the age of seventeen rather than the typical more mature looking figures, i got the inspiration from reading the book ` The Forgotten Soldier` which is about one mans struggle on the Eastern front while still a teenager fighting as part of the Gross Deutschland Division.

75mm Winter German recce
Just a little update to show mainly the work being carried out on the third figure which is the one on the left as you view it, i will be sculpting him wearing a sheepskin jacket and officers breaches with officers marching boots to add to the variety of the three figures. the Kar98 is nearly finished and i will take a moulding of it at this stage to finish it off.

75mm Winter German recce
Started work on figure #2 and #3 now and this is how they will appear compsition wise in the final result. The middle figure will be wearing a custom tailored leather jacket over his panzer wrap. I havent decided a pose or cloathing combination for the third figure yet but im contemplating having him as an anti-tank man carrying a panzerfaust or possibly a artillary officer, not decided yet.

75mm Winter German recce
This is a figure i started during the end of the napoleonic couple and is primarily sculpted in SuperSculpey(Polymer clay). There are some major benefits to using Polymers over epoxy putties the main one being the very long time you have to work with the putty without it hardening. I worked the upper body in several sessions over a week period without hardening the putty.
The theme behind this sculpt will be a two or three figure vignette showing German troops recce-ing there defensive position ready for a Russian offensive. This is the first of the three figures and i will try to make uniform variation between all three figures to add interest.
Still a couple of little things to finish on the figure including belt buckle, mp40 etc.

75mm Chasseur a Chavel with Lady
Hi all after the long delay in posting i have finally finished something , this double figure piece is the reason for the long delay due to the detail work required and much research to be done as it is a subject i havent studied before.
I have tried to depict a scene of a Chasseur a Chavel officer escorting his lady on a summer evening walk or perhaps to a ball.
For the first time i have used a large proportion of grenstuff for the sculpting mixed in varrying proportions with magicsculpt which i find gave me better results especially with the detail work.
